In the Variety interview, Grint was asked about the rumors of a Harry Potter TV series. “It’ll be weird if it was a continuation kind of thing,” he said. “I weirdly feel quite protective of that character. Even when I saw the stage shows, it was a very strange experience.” But, he added, “if it’s like a different group of friends, I guess it would be interesting.” Still, that doesn’t mean he didn’t enjoy watching the play. “It was very strange seeing someone else play Ron. A character I really thought I was,” he told The Independent in 2018. “We merged into the same person. To see someone else’s portrayal of it, it was like an out-of-body experience. The final Harry Potter movie was released in 2011, and in the 10 years since, Grint has continued acting. Grint’s daughter is not even a year old, so the 32-year-old actor is still getting used to life as a dad. “There’s just so much to do with a baby. I had no idea,” he told Variety. “You never kind of get an hour until you’re in bed and then it’s still tricky because Wednesday has got some teeth coming through. So nights kind of can go either way.” Several months after Grint and Groome welcomed Wednesday, Grint joined Instagram and shared a photo of her as his first post. “Hey Instagram….only 10 years late, but here I am,” he wrote. “Grint on the Gram!
