And in a recent interview, Aniston responded to the speculation for the first time in her own words. On the reunion special, both Aniston and Schwimmer talked about being into each other early on in the series, but also shared that nothing ever coming from it. “The first season I had a major crush on Jen,” Schwimmer said. Aniston added that the crush “was reciprocated.” But, Schwimmer explained, “It was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship, and we never crossed that boundary.” Aniston said she even talked to Schwimmer about their potential first kiss. She told him, “‘It’s gonna be such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is going to be on national television.’ Sure enough, first time we kissed was in that coffee shop.
