The video has racked up 3.3 million views on TikTok. It was posted to the account of prankster Taylor Watson, whose handle is @taylormakesvideos. In the apparently staged scene, a woman is seen at a Southwest Airlines check-in counter at an unidentified airport. When Watson is told by a clerk that her bag is overweight and she’ll have to pay an additional fee to check it, she proceeds to pull various costumes out of the suitcase and don them to lighten the load. In order: Watson pulls out and puts on a chicken outfit, a gorilla suit, an avocado suit, three hats, a red dress, and a large scarf. Meanwhile, people in line look on incredulously and with some annoyance. “I’ve never seen anything like that in my life,” one said.
3 And On To Security
Despite lightening the load by donning the costumes, the bag was still overweight, so Watson lifted the suitcase with her foot while it was on the scale. She then heads for security wearing those numerous costumes, while a woman behind her shakes her head.

It’s unclear how Watson managed to stage the stunt in the busy airport, and she hasn’t commented on her intentions. But it could be to call attention to excessive-size baggage fees, which some major airlines charge at $100 to $200 per bag. According to Consumer Reports, in 2021, those fees netted American Airlines and Delta Airlines $520 million and $360 million, respectively.
